Just the facts, Ma'am?

~~~OK, I'm going to try to belch out some kind of a blog post now. I need another venue to paste extra stuff onto. I don't believe I'm running out of room over at my first blogpage but one never knows. Then I have my very first attempt at trying to behave like I actually knew what I was doing when I started writing *stuff* and plonking it down on The Mousetrap. (That's the cutesy name I assigned to that weblog when I started it in 2000. Then came an actual, real live blog....Wheee! That's called Me and the Cat.

But I am, as usual, blathering on and not saying anything of any relevance. OK, gimme a minute, got to thing about this for a minute or so. I really only have 12 minutes right now since I will be watching a show on AMC called "Mad Men" --- such an adorable title for a show about Madison Ave. ad men in the 60's, and just to show how bad things were in the 60's, everyone [even one character in the show who is pregnant and smoking like a steam engine, Yikes!!] It looks very stupid, two housewives all dressed up nicely---putzing around with the food one of them is apparently going to serve shortly -- and both of them dragging on a cigarette while messing around with the food. Yucky? Oh yeah.

But I can't really criticize the actors and their incessant smoking habits because I was smoking a pack a day back in the 60's myself. Ooooo, I was bad. That's all behind me now though, I quit about 12 years ago. Good thing, too. I couldn't afford to smoke these days. Well, since I'm just aimlessly typing absolutely nothing of any interest for my first blog entry here, I think I will close this dumb entry now. I need a snack to go along with that smoke-filled TV show. Yup.

Better things ahead, one of these days very soon, perhaps.
